Thank you, Brooke, I love your substack. I read week 3 and week 4 just now, and it reminds me a lot of the step work I am doing in a 12 step program about surrendering. Here is a quote from one of the work books that feels very relevant: “…I release who I thought I was and I let go of that image so something else can come in. The moment of surrender is when I allow for the possibility that I can act differently, even though I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.” 💙

Someone very near and dear to me is sober and talks about the various Steps often and he said the very same thing ❤️

Just a quick note. I'm a little behind in my reading but want to share that I can relate to the "unadulterated freedom".

I want to say, "Thank you," Brooke. I'm feeling inspired.

The Freedom DEFINITELY: only after letting go of allot of expectations others have of me and giving myself permission to live as who I am. It’s a progressive process and it continues!

As for being inspired; I add “contributors” who inspire into my wheelhouse and are careful of those who just consume and never turn the corner towards contribution.

This time, it's 11:11 everywhere. The last time this happened I think I quit my marriage, quit my job, and took a dive into personal development/coaching work.

Also, and no joke -- the song "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey is popping up everywhere, about every 10-to-15 songs on any one of the "made for you" Spotify Playlists, and then later in restaurants or stores.

Your words about the Breadcrumb Trail particularly struck me. It's a beautiful metaphor for the often subtle ways the universe—or perhaps our own inner wisdom—nudges us in the right direction. It takes a special kind of courage to slow down and notice these signs, to allow them to guide us, especially when life feels overwhelming or uncertain.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Although I’m like 6 months late (or maybe right on time?), it resonates deeply. This idea of “spiritual breadcrumbs” is so relatable. Mine is also 444…for months I’ve seen it everywhere. Although I never thought of these moments as breadcrumbs but simply as “signs” which to me doesn’t sound like there’s any movement or growth associated with them. I love this fresh perspective.

So grateful for your sharing the spiritual path Brooke… giggled at the naked cannonball, I’m a naked everything as much as possible person since I’m on my own and it is LIBERATING. We open the door to our true selves and we start to see all that is meant for us. In the most MAGICAL ways… goosies from all your breadcrumbs, and grateful to be so connected I can feeeeel you in those precious moments. Constantly arriving, forever. 🤍🌹

My dad’s family is from Appalachia Eastern Kentucky. My grandmother (my most favorite person in the world) always told me a red cardinal was someone special visiting. I like to believe today that when I see one, it is her saying “hey! Pay attention!”.

Brooke, are you familiar with Angel Numbers by Doreen Virtue and Lynette Brown? If not, check it out. Your 444 reference (tattoo) reminded me of the book. When I began unraveling some time ago now, I saw many numbers again and again. A friend told me about Angel Numbers and I still to this day refer to the book when I see repeated number patterns in my life. By the way, I just subscribed tonight and I am loving your Substack. I was a loyal watcher of yours on CNN. I looked forward to your time slot every.single.day. Admittedly, I felt a little lost after watching your farewell show knowing I would not get my daily dose of Brooke. I have so missed you!! Welcome back to my life!!
